Meet the AfriLabs community

By providing financial mentorship, networking opportunities, and capacity-building resources, AfriLabs continues to pursue its mission of building a more reliable community around the rapidly emerging innovation hubs across Africa.

What are innovation hubs?

An innovation hub, according to the AfriLabs and Briter Bridges ecosystem report, is a community and centre for learning that nurtures innovative ideas and market disruption. Additionally, it supports creative ways of solving problems through offering on ground support and consultancy across the entirety of the start-up lifecycle. These hubs serve as centers that provide support to African entrepreneurs, innovators, developers and youths. By providing physical co-working and dedicated office spaces, as well as inclusive training and business, legal and financial support, they help in fostering successful entrepreneurs who will create jobs and develop innovative African-centered solutions.
