Intel and AfriLabs Unite to Propel African DeepTech Ecosystem: Intel AI Programme Heads to Kenya

Intel and AfriLabs are set to ignite the Kenyan DeepTech scene with the Intel AI Programme for African DeepTech Startups & Ecosystem Stakeholders. Building on the resounding success of its inaugural event in Abuja, Nigeria, this initiative is poised to accelerate innovation and foster collaboration within Kenya’s tech ecosystem.

 

The Intel AI Programme is scheduled for the 28th to the 30th of May 2024, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm EAT, at the Sankara Nairobi Hotel. The experience is designed to empower a diverse array of stakeholders, including DeepTech hubs, AI startups, developers, universities, and research institutions.

 

Following in the footsteps of its Nigerian counterpart, this three-day event will feature panel discussions on the “Challenges and Opportunities of DeepTech in Africa/Kenya – Socio-Economic and Policy Implications,” offering invaluable insights into navigating the complex landscape of DeepTech innovation. Furthermore, an engaging “AI Policy Roundtable” will convene esteemed government officials, policy-making institutions, and regulatory bodies to chart sustainable growth and development courses. There will be an Introduction to the Intel Liftoff for Startups Program, Intel Developer Cloud, Intel OneAPI initiative & Introduction to AI Tools at Intel.
